Meeting the Moment, Part 7: Shut Out the Noise and VOTE!

wecanonlineMobilize Monday, Mobilize Mondays

Sisters,

If you listen to most media, pollsters, and so-called influencers, the election is pretty much a done deal. Some say the former president is winning by a landslide. Others say the vice president is ahead but losing ground because voters don’t know who she is and what she stands for. Here’s my advice: don’t listen to any more of the white noise – just VOTE!

If you are still undecided about who to vote for or don’t understand the issues. Spend the remaining days before the election to learn!

For example, you can watch PBS’s The Choice 2024, an excellent film introducing us to the candidates running for President.

Read the WE CAN policy brief about what one candidate will likely do regarding environmental issues and climate change. The brief document describes what Project 2025 says about the environment and climate change. There is a VERY REAL climate crisis happening globally. We can no longer bury our heads in the sand. Read the document and join WE CAN and our partner, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. ~ Psi Epsilon Omega Chapter, to screen Unbreathable: The Fight for Healthy Air on Friday, November 1st at 7:00 pm.

I had a funny call with my 82-year-old father on Saturday. He raged about the media not telling the full story about this election. He wanted me to explain who was responding to the pollster’s questions. He was UPSET that the race seems to be close. I’ll end this post like I ended my conversation with my dad. Don’t be upset. DO SOMETHING!

In solidarity,

Stephanie McGencey, WE CAN President & Founder
