WE CAN wants to hear from Sisters across the nation!

The Powerful Sister Chronicles is a collection of stories from women of color across America. Our goal is to help Sisters speak truth and gain power over whatever challenges they face. We are interested in stories about how you (or a sister you know) organized her community; fought unfair practices in any environment; won a major legislative battle; or took a stand for something that would improve your life or your community. WE CAN will use these stories to illustrate the real power we have in our communities!

Please submit your story (around 500-750 words) and a photo to  info@womensequity.org. You will be notified when your story is ready for publication.

I authorize the Women’s Equity Center and Action Network (WE CAN) to record and edit into the WE CAN Powerful Sister Chronicles (the “Project”) and related materials such as my name, likeness, image, voice, written testimony, and interview (the “Media”). The Women’s Equity Center and Action Network may use and authorize others to use all or parts of the Media. The Women’s Equity Center and Action Network, its successors and assigns shall own all right, title and interest, including copyright, in and to the Project, including the Media, to be used without limitation as Women’s Equity Center and Action Network shall in its sole discretion determine.
